Sadie Amara Calvano has become popular for her role as Violet Plunkett that she played in the CBS show Mom. Calvano grew up in California, and initially was interested competitive gymnastics. However, she later made the decision to go after a job as an actress. Her screen debut was in the 2010 episode of CBS's 'NCIS. Her big-screen debut occurred a year later with the biographical crime-drama film "J Edgar'. Through the years, she firmly established herself as one of the most prestigious young actors working today. In 2011, she was awarded nominated to the Young Artist Award, Best Performance by a Young Actress on a TV Series for her role in the show "NCIS". The year 2013 saw Calvano selected again to receive the Young Artist Award. This was for her performance on Disney XD's 'Kickin The 'It'. Calvano played a major role in "Mom", the series' first three season and also made appearances on several episodes of Season four. Her performance being a rising star on Mom was recognized with the Gracie Allen Award, which is presented to women who are outstanding actors.
